"we exist so people can be found in jesus"

What we believe

1. ABOUT GOD

God is the Creator and Sovereign of the universe, existing eternally in three distinct yet co-equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, comprising the Trinity.

Genesis 1:1,26,27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

2. ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless life, and willingly sacrificed Himself as a payment for the sins of humanity by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead after three days, proving His authority over sin and death. He then ascended to heaven and will one day return to earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13

3. ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is fully God, co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is active in the world, revealing the need for salvation through Jesus Christ. Upon salvation, He takes up residence within every believer, providing power, understanding, guidance and spiritual gifts. As believers, we strive to submit to His control in our daily lives.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18

4. ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is the revealed Word of God, written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the ultimate authority for Christian doctrine and practice, and is true and free of error.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

5. ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS

Humans are created in the image of God and possess the potential for goodness. However, all individuals are also affected by sin, which separates them from God and causes negative consequences.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1, 2

6. ABOUT SALVATION

Salvation is a gift from God that must be accepted. It cannot be earned through self-improvement or good deeds. Trusting in Jesus Christ as the means of forgiveness is the only way to be saved from the penalty of sin. Accepting Jesus into one's life by faith results in eternal life.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1

7. ABOUT ETERNAL SECURITY

Eternal life is given by God through Jesus Christ, and a true believer's salvation is secure for eternity. Once saved, one cannot lose their salvation as it is maintained by God's grace and power, not by the individual's efforts. The security of salvation is a result of God's grace and power to keep it.

John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25, 10:10,14; 1 Peter 1:3-5

8. ABOUT ETERNITY

Humans are designed to live forever, with the potential to either live in separation from God due to sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. The eternal separation from God is commonly referred to as Hell, while eternal union with God is referred to as eternal life or Heaven. Both Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Cor. 2:7-9
